Can't believe it until I compare it to other pictures. Almost big enough for the SYF onsie we bought her. Now I'm wishing I would have gone for the cutsie Dancing Bears onsie ( the ONLY time you'll hear me go for the dancing bears thing )

Wow! What a beautiful baby girl.

She's got such a serious expression in the first picture. As if you just asked her if she'd rather listen to '68 Dead or '86 Dead?

Thanks for sharing.

JOTS - got your entry in?

Dear Friends:

For the twenty second year, an opportunity has arisen to participate in some unique Alaskan fun and support diabetes research. Available through me, for a very limited time, are Anchorage Hillside Rotary Club's “Moose Marble Madness” tickets which are on sale to benefit the American Diabetes Association.

You may remember there are only 2000 numbered tickets available at $10 each. Each ticket corresponds to a unique, seasoned, audited moose "marble" which has been carefully numbered and cellophane wrapped to prevent disintegration on impact. All the nuggets are dropped from a helicopter to a target at O'Malley's on the Green, in Anchorage, at noon on Friday, April 22, 2011. Closest turd to the bulls eye wins $5000, second place wins $1,000 and third place wins $500. There are fifty $20 prizes so the chance of winning something is 1 in 38.

If you want to participate, please alert me by return email about how many you want me to hold and mail your check payable to “Anchorage Hillside Rotary” to my office address below. Remember, the tickets are ten dollars each.

You are welcome to attend the event in person, but it is not necessary. Depending on how involved you want to become, umbrellas or hard hats are recommended! The helicopter prop wash and any winds assure a random event and occasional lack of precision.

You just can't lose with this opportunity. Even if your turds aren't worth a sh*t, you still win by supporting diabetes research through the contribution the Rotary club will make from the proceeds of this fundraiser.

I have sold the winning ticket four times and it may be that the lucky one is in my hand at this very moment!

With help from people like you, Anchorage Hillside Rotary has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars over the past twenty two years to benefit the American Diabetes Association and other Alaska charities.

Thanks for your generous support!

oh yeah man. Moose dropping is the shit up here har har har. Actually people do get all freaky with it - they shalack them and sell them and there's the famous Talkeetna Moose dropping fest which I have never been too but last y ear got so out of control they'll be shutting it down from now on. Pretty much the closest thing to that town in Northern Exposure. IF you ever make it up here we'll take you to that place that guy ate the monster burger in man vs food. Good brew too

Thanks Wineland. We have some teen and pre teen years going on right now. Fortunatly the oldest ( my step son but he's pretty much my son because his Dad is a dork and he likes me better )has a pretty good head on his shoulders and my daughter the pre teen saves all her hellish drama up for her mother and is pretty good for us at our house ( have 50/50 week on/off ). I say it's karma : )

Sounds like you have a good thing going. My approach has been create a good open relationship now so the foundation is laid when we get to the teen years. I may be calling you in a couple years to get a few routes out of the parenting playbook.

oh heck man me? I owe most everything to my wife ( NOT ex wife ). I've learned much patience from her. All you can do is do the best you can and BE there is the most important thing I think. It's working wonders with my daughter. And as for boys - I just make fun of them : )

We joke around quite a bit and everyone teases good naturedly. Until yesterday... I called my son a Bierberhead, for no appearant reason, he never listens to Justin. The way he looked at me I knew I crossed some unspoken line. Quickly apologized for that one.

If I hadn't followed back from your replies I'd have missed this little sweetie! Sometimes seems like just a few days ago that my kid looked like that. Your happiness shines through the grey days, John!

Did you take a bush plane last week? I think I saw you on "Flying Wild".

thanks! I'd love to do a McKinley flight seeing tour. I don't want to get in a plane unless it has twin engines though. I like the insurance
